	MAJOR SERVICE.

1)	Log on to the system.

2)	Send a warning that the XGP will be down.
	Type \F2 SEND * THE XGP WILL BE DOWN FOR A WHILE \F1<RETURN>
	Wait until the program tells you it has got the XGP.

3)	Detach the XGP.
	Type \F2 RUN XGRAB \F1<RETURN>

4)	Remove back panel.  Remove the toner box (unplug cable first).
	Empty and clean.

5)	Remove COROTRONS and LIGHT SHIELD and clean.

6)	Turn off circuit breaker.  Remove front panel.
	Remove FUSER WIPER and clean or replace FELTS as necessary.

7)	Reinstall FUSER WIPER and front panel.  Turn on circuit breaker.

8)	Open GATE and WEB, remove GATE, and install DRUM SUPPORT.
	Remove DRUM. Replace DRUM ELEMENT if necessary.

9)	Vacuum and clean as much as possible.

10)	Wash face of CRT, MIRRORS, and LENS with alcohol.

11)	Install TONER BOX. Do not close lever.

12)	Pour in DEVELOPER, one half bottle.   Add TONER if necessary.
	"Goose" TONER 6 times.  Stir TONER.  Wipe up of vacuum any spills.

13)	Reinstall COROTRONS and LIGHT SHIELD.

14)	Reinstall DRUM.  Lift up on DRUM SUPPORT while installing.
	Remove DRUM SUPPORT, install GATE, close WEB, close GATE,
	close TONER BOX LEVER.  Install back panel.

15)	Make LOG entry.

16)	Attach XGP to system.
	Type \F2 ATT XGP \F1<RETURN>

17)	Run test.
	TYPE \F2 XG GRIMM[LIB,DOC](2:20) \F1<RETURN>

18)	Deassign XGP.
	TYPE \F2 DEA XGP \F1<RETURN>
\CMINOR SERVICE.

1)	Log on to the system.

	Type \F2 RUN XGRAB \F1<RETURN>
	Wait until the program tells you it has done it.

3)	Open TONER BOX LEVER.

4)	Remove COROTRONS and LIGHT SHIELD and vacuum.

5)	Oil FUSER WIPER.

6)	Open GATE and WEB, remove GATE, and install DRUM SUPPORT. Remove DRUM.

7)	Wipe face of CRT with magic cloth.

8)	Vacuum and clean as much as possible.  Be sure to vacuum TONER BOX LIP.

9)	Stir TONER. Add TONER if necessary.  Wipe up of vacuum any spills.

10)	Reinstall COROTRONS and LIGHT SHIELD.

11)	Reinstall DRUM.  Lift up on DRUM SUPPORT while installing.
	Remove DRUM SUPPORT, install GATE, close WEB, close GATE,
	close TONER BOX LEVER.

12)	make LOG entry.

13)	Attach XGP to system.
	Type \F2 ATT XGP \F1<RETURN>

14)	Run TEST.
	Type \F2 XG GRIMM[LIB,DOC](2:20) \F1<RETURN>

15)	Deassign XGP.
	TYPE \F2 DEA XGP \F1<RETURN>
\CREPLACING THE WEB

1)	Open web gate.  Press green button to unlock it.
2)	Open web pinch-roller with wrench.
3)	Open web hold-down levers.
4)	Remove old web and discard.
5)	Unroll new web about a foot, only the part with paper glued
	on the back.  New webs are in the file cabinet.
6)	Carefully insert web on spindles, around pinch-roller.
7)	Fold hold-down levers, the take up one should go in the slot.
8)	Close pinch roller with wrench.  HANG UP WRENCH!
9)	Close gate.  PRESS GREEN BUTTON TO LOCK IT!
10)	Make log entry.

\CREPLACING THE PAPER

1)	Cut off paper at old supply roll.
2)	Remove old roll and throw away.
3)	Get new roll, unwrap it, remove metal roll plugs and throw them away.
	DO NOT USE SCISSORS TO REMOVE PLUGS!  IF NECESSARY USE A SCREWDRIVER!
4)	Unroll end of new roll enough to get beyond tape on roll.  Cut off
	end as shown below:








5)	Put new roll on spindle and put on nut; not too tight.
6)	Thread paper under roller and tape to end of old paper as shown below:










7)	Unroll some paper from new roll (just let it pile up).
8)	Open paper feed pinch roller (near cutter) and pull paper out of output
	slot to get the taped joint out of the machine.
9)	Close paper feed pinch roller.
10)	Close door and make a log entry.
